Current Updates

6.27.06 - Sorry for the delay...now read my ramblings

Sorry for letting the site die for 2 months. The reason for this is due to many things, although lack of interest is probably the number one reason. To make up for it, I'm adding quite a bit of content.

Firstly, new site layout. This layout features Nana and Ren from the Nana manga by Ai Yazawa. The image used is from chapter 56, which I didn't do much editing to at all. The last layout was rather grungy, so I went for simple and clean with this one (first non-FMA layout in 8 months).

...and that leads to the next part of the update, I added NANA to the site! This has become one of my favorite series, definately in the top 5. Nana is 15+ volume manga series by Ai Yazawa which recently became an anime series back in April. This would have to be one of the most faithful animes I've ever seen, no filler or cuts (at least up to episode 10, if you count the exclusion of The Sex Pistols' "Seventeen", but that's probably due to copyrights). This series is going to be over 50 episodes long, so it's going to be a long haul. It should be noted that Nana isn't a children series, adult situations and such. It's not shoujo, it's josei.

For the series, I have added a whopping 1,331 screencaps for the first seven episodes (wasn't try for a seven pun there...), including the "Rose" opening and "A Little Pain" ending. There's a explanation as to why episodes one and six appear to be the same on the screencaps page (not a recap episode). I'll be adding episodes eight through eleven soon, plus the 11 1/2 Junko's Room Recap episode. For the time being I'm just going to add screencaps for the series, but I'm planning to add some stuff for the manga down the road.

...and thus that leads us to the second part of the update, scans for Fullmetal Alchemist's second manga artbook! I added ninety-one scans for the entire book, including all four chapters. The scans in the book cover illustrations for the manga from September of 2003 through October of 2005, plus illustrations for the PS2 games.

I included all two-page-spreads spliced together, which is what took the longest for me to do. As with the first artbook, credit is mandatory on splices. They have two page numbers in their file names, so they're rather easy to spot. I'm going to note that you can purchase the artbook at Yesasia, Akadot Retail, and of course Amazon Japan.

Some final notes, it was stated in Jump that D.Gray-man will become an anime in the fall. Now none of the series on the site will be manga only. Also, while I was ignoring the site the number of vistors went past a million. Just took about five years to do so. >_>
