Welcome to the Fullmetal Alchemist section of the site. Fullmetal Alchemist is a 14 + volume manga, 51 episode anime, and also a feature length movie.

The manga is drawn and written by Hiromu Arakawa, and is published in Monthly Shounen Gangan in Japan. The manga, unlike the anime, is still ongoing.

It should be noted that the manga and anime have very different plots and even different characters. Don't think just because you've seen the anime that you know what happened in the manga (or visa-versa), because you won't.

I've read all of the manga that's been released so far and have seen the anime, so I highly suggest this series. It's currently my favorite manga, the plot twists are just great. The manga is licensed by Viz and is being released on a bimonthly basis, the anime is licensed by Funimation and is also on a bimonthly-ish schedule.
