July 2004 Updates

7.30.04 - Some fanart

I updated the fanart section with one drawing from a new artist, I also updated the links page.

I have one month before I start my fall semester, and I'm taking a full load this time. So I'm going to try and get a lot of updates done before September to compensate for the expected lack of updates. Anyway, that's it for today. ;)

7.26.04 - Screencaps...A Lot of Them!

[cough] This is fairly large update, it's for the Cardcaptor Sakura section. Before I had updated it's screencap section there were 1,833 screencaps for the first eight episodes and the opening and intro. I added screencaps for episodes nine through thirteen (five episodes), with a total of 1,005 new screencaps. There are now 2,838 screencaps, and there's still fifty-seven episodes to go. o_O You'll probably notice a lot of repeated images in episode twelve, but if you've seen the episode you'll know why. I'm probably going to add episode four to the Saikano section this week, and maybe some other stuff. Depends on how busy I'll be, but I think all those screencaps should be enough for a little while. ^_^

I added a quite a few scans for the Inuyasha manga. I updated volume 16 with scans for chapters two and three (they're not whole chapters, just selected scans), cleaned up chapter one's images, and redid the cover scans. I also finally added scans for the first chapter of volume 20. I had these uploaded for a long time, but I never got around to making them public. Sorry about that, enjoy them. ^_^'

I did some tallying up, and here are the screencaps and scans totals for the site:

Screencaps - 4,101 (CCS 2,838; Bebop 665; Saikano 598)
Scans - 931 (Kodocha 588; Inuyasha 222; CCS 71; FLCL 50)

Don't ask me the total for the whole site, but it's probably close to 10,000 images in total. I'll get around to tallying up everything someday.

7.25.04 - IY back online...sort of...

Like stated in the last post, I only brought back the scans section. All sections will be back on 8/1. I did do some updates to the scan section though, I added some scans for the anime from the artbook. They're mainly character sketches, but there's 17 of them and they have good resolutions. Like I had said in the last post, it's better than nothing. ^_^

7.23.04 - Some fanart

On a side note, bandwidth is high again (bleh...). I had considered taking the IY section offline for the remainder of the month, but I'm opting to only bringing back online my scans. Hey, it's better than nothing. Everything will be back up to speed on August 1.

7.21.04 - New Layout and Series!

Yep, a new layout. I didn't like that last one that much, it was rather dull. This one is blue, and is quite similiar to the one I'm using at my other site. The artwork used in the top image is a blend I did of different parts of Kimi no Kakera's second tankoubon's cover. KnK is by Shin Takahashi, the same guy that made Saikano. It's a very good series, check it out if you can find it (not in english yet...). Anyway, onto the new series. The new series is Kodomo no Omocha! I'll mainly be referring to it as Kodocha. I absolutely love this series, I just finished reading the manga a week and a half ago and it's great. It's a shoujo series that isn't like your typical shoujo. It's mainly comedy, with a little bit of romance, and quite a bit of drama as the series progresses. It's quite good and I highly suggest it. The manga is available from Tokyopop and the anime has been licensed by Funimation (it's supposed to start being released sometime in 2005). This section has the most scans that I have ever made for a series. So far I only have chapter scans for the first three volumes, but I did include cover and illustration scans for the seven other volumes (illustration scans are those images that are on the side of the pages or the back of some pages). Totals scans so far are 588, there are 898 total images in the gallery. Enjoy the section! ^_^

7.18.04 - Inuyasha offline

^ As usual. Anyway, I'm planning on making a ton of updates this week, as well as a new layout. I'm tired of this one and I think the site needs a bit of color. I just need to convert the code into php. It probably won't be online for a few days, I'm waiting until I finish up some scans for that new series (you won't know what it is until I upload it). :P

7.15.04 - Fanart...

7.12.04 - IY back online

Yep, it's back online. I downsized the section quite a bit, 432 less images. I cut the manga group section (the one that consisted of chapter images), so now there's only black and white and color group illustrations. I also cut bad quality, some screenies, and just pics that I generally didn't like from the anime galleries. I also updated the section with rougly 100 new images, so a lot of the ones I cut were replaced with new images. I also downsized some of the crazy sized images and optimized others.

Hopefully this'll help things a bit. If not, then I may make the section consist of only my scans and maybe some screencaps. Hopefully it won't come to that, I don't have many of those. Don't think I killed the section with this pruning, there's still well over 1,000 images in the section. ^_^

On a side note, the first IY movie will not air on October 23 on Adult Swim. It has been pushed back to sometime during the Spring of 2005. You can read about it by clicking here.

7.4.04 - IY offline...

Yep, it's offline again and will be back on 7/11. I put up some information about the first two movies coming out on DVD, the first movie on Adult Swim, and the first boxset up on the Inuyasha page. You can read the details there. ;)

7.1.04 - IY online...

It's back online, but will be offline again on Sunday. I'm downsizing the section again due to it continuing to suck up bandwidth. I'm not sure how much I'm going to downsize it though, it may be major.
