Site Information
This site was originally founded sometime in 2001 and was a Dragon Ball site. The original title was The Dragon Ball Archives, hence what thedbarchives stands for. The site was hosted on several free hosts, until I got fed up with bandwidth and space issues. On March 22, 2002 I bought a domain for the site and left the free hosts. Over time I incorporated other series into the site and gradually lost interest in Dragon Ball. In early 2004 I cut Dragon Ball and the site became a general anime and manga image source.
In the past the site consisted of mainly images collected from other sites. Over time I started addding my own scans and screencaps, and now majority of the images here are original to the site.
If I could drop thedbarchives name, I would (as this site has nothing to do with Dragon Ball anymore). It's just too much of a hassle to get a new domain. ^_^
Programs Used
Adobe Photoshop 6.0 - graphics, scans, and screencap editing.IrfanView - mainly for screencap editing.
Pink Mouse's Image Organiser - this is the program makes this site possible. PMIO generates the thumbnails and tables that hold them. It also helps in sequentially renaming galleries. I use an older freeware version of this software, it now costs money to use.
EditPad Lite - used to edit several files at once.
Notepad - also for editing files.
